Ok so my the Journey into my wine adventure is unique. I was never really a fan of wine, because any wine I drank gave me an awful headache. but I would have a glass here and there with my Mother-in-law, who started to teach me about cooking and pairing with wine. Other than that I would have the occasional glass when offered at a friends or families house. Most of the wines I drank were common name brands you would find at the liquor store. (And now in most grocery stores).
I did start to find a few brands and varietals that became my favorite. Including one brand that came in a box. (Enter facepalm here). As I started to learn more about wine and how to pair foods and cook wine with them, I started to be a little more discrete in my wine choices. I soon discovered that some of the “wines” I came to love, were not great for cooking and pairing foods with.
I Expanded my Palate and My Knowledge of Wine
After some research and trying different wines, I became more and more intrigued. Not only by the history behind wine and the wine making process. But I was also intrigued to learn how different brands/companies actually make their wines, and that there was a difference between “Wine” and a True Fine Wine. When I was tasting different wines from various brands and at different prices, I soon started to understand the difference.
The thing that stuck out to me the most through my journey with wine, was that there were certain Brands that tasted the EXACT SAME in every year. I soon learned that most Brands taste the same, and don’t cook well because of how they are made. Bid Brands/Companies use a recipe with chemicals such as Arsenic, Modified Yeast, Artificial Sulfites and so much more. Which is why the same varietal would taste the same year to year. The more I researched and listened to classes and videos about Wine Making and True Fine Wines, the more I realized why I always got a headache and didn’t really enjoy wine very much.
The Journey Into My Wine Adventure Led to True Fine Wines
My Mom joined this incredible Wine of the Month Club out of Napa and Sonoma Valley’s that changed everything for me. She started sharing these Boutique Wines from Napa and Sonoma at family get togethers. I instantly could tell a difference from other wines that I’ve been tasting and cooking with. The Flavor was so crisp, pure and just different than anything I’ve ever tried. I started to understand certain terms that are associated with Wine Tastings, which got me excited. I also noticed that I could have a glass or 2 and wouldn’t get a headache!
A True Fine Wine taste/flavor is incomparable to “wines” that you generally find in liquor stores and grocery stores. Because they are made in small batches in the way Wine was meant to be made- the natural way. I’ve spent years trying live a natural healthy lifestyle, so when I learned this fact I was excited. Especially since through my research I learned a lot about the health benefits of a true wine.
My Journey and Love for Wine Led to a Chance to Earn my own Wine Label
Once my Mom told me about the Wines she gets monthly and how she makes an income with it I was hooked! These Wines were incredible, I was able to earn free wine and make and income with it. It turned out to be a pretty great side gig to help my family and continue expanding my knowledge and explore my love of True Fine Wines.
After becoming a part of this amazing company and community, they announced that they are adding a new label under the name of the top Ambassador for the year. Then they set up a challenge to not only strive for that goal, but to also create the Wine Label that we would like to have as the top Ambassador for the year.
It Took a Lot of Time to Think About My Label
I want you to keep in mind that the “artsy” gene skipped over me completely in my family. But after a lot of thought, time and tools I had- I think I came up with a rough idea that fits me pretty well!! I wanted a label that would show not only my heart but my journey through life.
Sunset in the Mountians
One of my favorite places to be in the whole world is in the Mountains. It’s where I feel the most comfortable, free, relaxed and closest to God. I live in a city close to the mountains in Colorado. And whenever I can escape to go hiking or camping in our Beautiful Mountains I feel like I hit the reset button on my brain and just life in general. I can think clearer, get a new perspective on life, and just breath better in general. My heart just feels whole and better when I spend time in the mountains. Plus I just think that the Mountains are one of the most beautiful creations and wonders on our earth. I chose a picture of the Mountains during sunset because it’s one of the most beautiful sites I’ve seen. And it’s my favorite time of day. And there really is no comparison to a Colorado Sunset in the Mountains.
The Phoenix
As most people know- the Legend of the Phoenix is a bird that dies and rises born again from the ashes. I’ve always been fascinated with the myths and images of this Mystical Creature. But the reason I chose to include an image of the Phoenix in my label is because life has put me through the Refiners Fire over and over. And Yet I continue to Rise from the ashes of the things that could have destroyed me. To me the Phoenix is a symbol of hope, strength and fortitude. And those are things I’ve held on to in order to get through some of the toughest seasons in my life. (Of course along with God and lots of prayer!)
Through my Journey with Wine
I’ve learned so much since I started becoming interested in wine. I’ve expanded my knowledge with wine and food. I have always loved cooking and baking, and once I started adding Fine Wines in the mix, my skills and favorite dishes have improved. I’ve learned that True Fine Wine is an art, and cooking and pairing food with it is an art all by itself. It’s truly been an adventure and blessing to be a part of this incredible Wine community. I’m so grateful for the opportunities, all I’ve learned along the way, and the friendships that I’ve built because of this amazing community. If you’d like to learn more about Fine Wines or to become a part of this incredible community, Go HERE and see how to get in contact with us.
Thank you for taking time to hear my story, and be a part of my adventure in Wine. Salute!
